THE SCOOP
Delaware is where my home is, and South Carolina is where I just recently spent 4 long college years. I would like to thank Diet Coke, Awake caramel chocolate, and Starburst jellybeans for helping me earn my degree.
I have been dating a wonderful human, Matthew, for over a year now. He's tall and bearded and one of the kindest men I have ever known. I truly love him with all of my heart.
I've always loved writing, and I'm so glad to have this platform to share some of my thoughts and insights about life, from a 23- year old perspective. I desire to write on a variety of topics such as college life, dating, communication, faith, the church, PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome for all you newbies), workouts, being a pastor's kid, past love experiences, and just general new-adult struggles.
I'm going to try to not be tooo controversial, but I do want to encourage thought and create discussion by sharing my heart. This is mostly a personal blog, but I'm not going to shy away from hot topics.
And of course, why "Temperance?"
At the core, it means moderation in all things. As a Christian, I do not let myself be overcome with pleasure for external things, but rather enjoy them in moderation, focusing on my God, Who is the Ultimate Fulfillment of my heart and soul.
